PANO – Brigade 242 under Military Zone 3 has marked its 45th founding anniversary. The brigade was established on September 18th 1969 to meet urgent requirement of the national construction and defence cause.

During its 45 years of development, the unit has well carried out assigned tasks and gained many outstanding achievements while concentrating on improving training quality and combat readiness, contributing to building a strong party organization and comprehensively strong unit.
* The liaison board of Regiment 9, under Division 304 of Army Corps 2, on September 21st held a get-together to mark the 67th founding anniversary (September 23rd) and handed over the ADN results for families of 16 martyrs of the Mai Quoc Ca heroic platoon.
At the event, former officers reviewed the unit’s 67 years of development as well as paid tribute to the Mai Quoc Ca platoon’s martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the Quang Tri Bridge battle on October 4th, 1972.
