PANO – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on September 24th launched the first two international routes to Phu Quoc island district of Southern province of Kien Giang from Singapore and Siem Reap (Cambodia).
Accordingly, the carrier will operate two round-trip flights a week, using Airbus A321 between Phu Quoc and Singapore from November 2nd, and three flights between Phu Quoc and Siem Reap by ATR-72 from December 18th.
These flights are expected to pave the way for the development of Phu Quoc towards a dynamic special economic zone in Vietnam.
On this occasion, the airline will provide cheap tickets, costing only VND 388,000 (or US$18) on Phu Quoc-Singapore route departing from November 2nd to 30th, and VND 1.3 million (US$ 63) on Phu Quoc-Siem Reap departing from December 18th to January 31st 2015, excluding taxes and additional fees.
Besides, from October 1st, it will sell tickets for the Lunar New Year or the Tet Holiday 2015.
