HA NOI (VNS) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for his visiting Lao counterpart Somsavath Lengsavad in Ha Noi yesterday.
The host and guest expressed pleasure at the results of bilateral cooperation in recent months.
The two countries implemented an agreement signed between the two Politburos of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee.
Co-operation in the field of politics, foreign relations, defence and security, economics, trade and socio-culture have also been expanded.
The two Deputy PMs underlined the need for the two sides to work closer to successfully organise the 37th meeting of the Viet Nam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee.
Phuc and Somsavath said they would continue to direct ministries, sectors, localities and enterprises to collaborate in implementing agreements reached between the two governments. – VNS
