Mr. Bui Thanh Quyen, Secretary of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, attended a ceremony to begin the new school year with the teachers and students of Ke Sat Senior High School (Binh Giang).



After 35 years of construction and development, Ke Sat Senior High School has firmly maintained its title of progressive or excellently progressive labor collective for 15 consecutive years so far. The school’s teachers always uphold the sense of devotion to their profession and contribute to improving the quality of education. In the 2013-2014 school year, 75% of the school’s students achieved fairly good or good learning capacity, 36.3% passed college or university entrance exams.


Addressing the ceremony, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Quyen acknowledged the achievements of Ke Sat Senior High School.


He stressed that besides teaching cultural knowledge, the school should attach much importance to moral education and career orientation for its students.


The students should also be clearly aware of their responsibilities for their families, the school, and society, determined to make every effort in learning and practice to become useful citizens of the society.


The provincial Party Committee Secretary also noted that in this academic year, the school should efficiently realize the basic and comprehensive innovation of education and training to meet industrialization and modernization requirements in the context of socialism-oriented market economy and international integration, further promote the learning and following of Ho Chi Minh’s moral example in association with the sector’s campaigns and emulation movements.


* Over 450,000 pupils and students and more than 25,000 teachers, officials, and employees in the education sector throughout the province officially entered the new school year of 2014-2015 on September 5.


There are a total of 926 preschools and general schools, eight Centers for General Techniques and Vocational Guidance and Training, one Continuing Education Center at provincial level and 12 at district level, and 265 community learning centers in 265 communes, wards, and district towns.


There are also four universities, four colleges, and four professional secondary schools in the province.
