Bao Tin Minh Chau was formerly a small gold trading shop called Kim Tin on Bach Mai Street owned by Vu Minh Chau and a friend. Late in 1989 Vu Minh Chau established his own shop, called Bao Tin, on Tran Nhan Tong Street in Hanoi which then became Bao Tin Minh Chau Jewellery and Gemstone Co.Ltd., in 1995.
Since its first days, the company has been faithful to its motto, “Having Prestige Is More Important Than Having Gold” and paid much attention to training their staff of cadres both domestically and internationally and applied advanced scientific technology to producing and making unique and high-quality jewelry which are equivalent to those made in Italy, France and the US.
To meet the different tastes of customers, the company has continually invested in modern equipment and machines imported from leading countries in making jewelry like the US, Germany and Italy. Bao Tin Minh Chau is the first enterprise in Vietnam to use gold detector SCL-IV GOLD Analysing unit by X-ray fluorescence spectrometer provided by Germany’s OTEC Company.

Over the years, among many types of products brand named Bao Tin Minh Chau, Thang Long Dragon Gold 999.9 BTMC, which meets international quality standards, has been selected as high-quality Vietnamese products in consecutive years by customers. Over the years, the company has been awarded several prizes both nationally and internationally, such as a gold cup for high-quality Vietnamese products, a gold cup for top ten quality and prestigious Vietnamese products, the certificate of merit by the Prime Minister and the Labour Medal, 3rd class. It is the only enterprise in the system of big Vietnamese and Southeast Asian businesses which was selected and awarded the Golden Cup of International Quality in 2005, Silver Cup of International Quality in 2006 and the Diamond Cup of International Quality in 2007.
