(VOV) -The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) and Lao Viet Joint Venture Bank (LaoVietbank)on October 9 ceremoniously granted US$150,000 to the Laos National Assembly.
The ceremony was attended by Chairwoman of LaosNational Assembly Pany Yathotou and representatives of LaoVietbank and BIDV.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lao NA leader PanyYathotou spoke highly of BIDV and LaoVietbank assistance to Saysomboun province and Laos alike.
“The assistance will help boost Laos’ social and economic development as well as consolidate solidarity and traditional friendship between the two nations,” she said.
At present, BIDV and LaoVietbank have implemented numerous social welfare programmes donating over US$11 million with a focus on healthcare, education, poor people support and the Lao Government prioritized areas.
