On October 11, Mr. Nguyen Van Cao, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, hosted a reception for the delegation of Internationalization of Medical Services Association (IMSA), which was led by Mr. Motonori Tsuno, Director of the JICA Kansai International Center.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Cao expressed his pleasure to receive the delegation and informed about the cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and Japanese partners, especially twinning relationships between ThuaThienHueProvince, HueCity and Japanese provinces and cities. Chairman Cao highly appreciated the cooperation between Thua Thien Hue and Japan in the sectors of health, culture, education, etc. Particularly, Japanese medical aid projects have made important contributions to building capacity of medical staff in treatment and health care for people of Thua Thien Hue and other neighboring localities. Projects implemented by Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy and JapaneseUniversities of Medicine and Pharmacy have created the favorable premise for their cooperation in scientific research and education exchange. The Chairman hoped to continue to receive more supports form Japanese regions, organizations, universities, and enterprises in the sectors of transfer of intensive medical advances, HR training, construction of modern health care and medical treatment centers in the central Vietnam and the whole country. Mr. Motonori Tsuno highly appreciated the traditional cooperation between Japan and Vietnam in the past time and was pleased with good achievements between Japanese and Vietnamese partners in the medical sector. Taking this opportunity, Mr. Motonori Tsuno wished the medical cooperation of both sides would be further developed, especially in the sector of HR training. Within the scope of the visit, the delegation had a meeting with Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy and attended the MOU signing ceremony between Hue College of Medicine and Pharmacy and Kyoto University of Medicine (Japan).
