A long hour heavy rain accompany with flood tide shouldered in HCM City yesterday, causing serious flooding several streets on the large scale.
Floodwater was alerted at level of 1, 58 meters in Binh Thanh and Thu Duc districts’ streets.
In addition, floodwater not only caused traffic jam and motorcycle engine failure during many hours but also affected people’s life in residential areas. Many families had to use sandbags to prevent from flood water overflow in their houses.
The Central Meteorology Hydrology Forecast Center announced that floodwater would continue to raise high at level of over 1, 60 meters on October 10.
