The provincial directing board for summer activities of 2014 has justsummed up the summer activities and the voluntary youth movements in 2014.
Reports at the conference showed that in 2014, the youthunions, provincial associations in the province have renovated more than 100kmof inner-field channels; installing 547 compact light bulbs for more than18.5km of rural roads; constructing over 60km of rural roads; supportinglocalities to repair, renovate 9 cultural houses, stilt houses in hamlets, villages,entertainment zones for juvenile; constructing 213 safe traffic gates;mobilizing members and youths, volunteers to donate more than 1,631 bloodunits; checking and distributing medicine to over 4,000 people. Besides, theunit has donated more than 20,000 gifts and many other products worth over 800million dongs; instructing more than 5,091 examinees and nearly 1,000 of theirrelatives to have 2,995 accommodation places at affordable prices anddistributing 3,000 Tuy Hoa maps. The voluntary groups have helped reviewliterature and English during the summer for 992 students; organizing 84activities for children, attracting 5,330 children; donating 336 scholarships”lighting up Vietnamese youth’s dreams” to poor students, the total amount is172.5 million dongs…
On this occasion, the PPC presented merit certificates to 4excellent collectives and 4 excellent individuals; Phu Yen provincial youthunion branch presented merit certificates to 19 excellent collectives and 34individuals for their achievements during the summer activities and 2014voluntary movement.
