On theafternoon of 8th October, Haiphong People’s Committee received Incheon Vision Business Association led by Mr. Ahn Jae Hwa – President of the Association on their visit to Haiphong to explore investment opportunities. Mr. Duong Anh Dien – Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee presided over the meeting. Attending this event were leaders of relevant departments and agencies.
During the reception, Chairman Duong Anh Dien thanked the delegation for visiting, examining and studying about Haiphong to make investment decisions. City chairman expressed the deep impression of Haiphong delegation at the development of the Korea. Mr. Dien affirmed that the city is really in need of domestic and foreign investment capital flows including Korea. So far, a large number of Korean investors have started business in Haiphong and gained great success as LG and Doosan, etc. City chairman said that Haiphong has the idea of building an industrial park for South Korean investors, which is located in Trang Due Industrial Zone with the most preferential policies under the law of Vietnam. Currently, Hai Phong has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with LG. Both sides desire to build a great service production foundation in Haiphong at national and regional scale. The Chairman hoped the delegation will gather sufficient necessary information to make investment decisions after this actual survey. Also at the meeting, leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment and delegates introduced the city’s potentials, advantages and preferential policies for businesses who make investments in Haiphong; highlighted advantages of Trang Due Industrial Zone, in which the transport connectivity, power and water supply, telecommunications services and security are secured and land fund is pledged to be expanded in case of the demand. At the same time, participants gave answers to concerned issues of the survey team. Mr. Ahn Jae Hw – President of the Association thanked for the reception of the city’s people committee. He voiced that there are representatives of 22 enterprises attending this working visit to explore investment opportunities in Vietnam. Additionally, the delegation hoped to achieve good results through this working visit and looked forward to receiving the support of the city. |
