(VOV) – The northern Thanh Hoa province aims to develop tourism into a spearhead economic industry by 2020, attracting some 250 foreign and 9 million local visitors annually.
The scheme was unveiled at a recent conference in HCM city to call for investment in infrastucture, sea port and tourism in Thanh Hoa province.

Attractive destinations such as Hai Hoa and Ma Hao tourism sites, Cam Thuy fish stream and the Ho Dynasty Citadel historical relic site are also seen as major advantages for local tourism development, Chien said.
In the eight month period, Thanh Hoa attracted 50 new FDI projects capitalised at US$16 billion,90% of which comes from Japan.
There will be another HCM City-Thanh Hoa air route in the time to come and a VND1 trillion air terminal construction due to start in late November or early December, Chien added.
