(VOV) -The Vietnamese U16 female squad defeated Hong Kong opponents 7-0 in their final match at the qualifying round of the 2015 Asian U16 Football Champs in Malaysia.
Coach Luu Ngoc Mai’s team scored four goals in the first half thanks to marvellous kicks by strikers Nguyen Thi Nga, Tuyet Ngan, Nguyen Thi Nu, and Nguyen Thi Quynh.
Hong Kong players failed to put any points on the scoreboard despite their constant efforts in the second half, while three more successful shots were recorded by Vietnamese girls Tuyet Ngen, Nguyen Thi Quynh and Thu Hien, clinching the win and final score at 7-0.
Although Vietnamese footballers claimed an overwhelming victory against Hong Kong, they missed a chance to get a berth to the final round due to previous losses to Australia and the Republic of Korea.
Meanwhile, the RoK team placed first in Group C after beating Australia 1-0 to earn an entrance ticket to the final round.
