17 Mechanical Co., Ltd, also known as Z117 Factory, was established on May 19, 1956. As a first-class enterprise powered by experienced executives and engineers and skilful workers, the company manufactured military and consumer goods for domestic and export markets. So far, the company has made long strides in business operations and affirmed its prestige and brand name in making high-grade mechanical products for the market. Europe is a primary export market of the company. Its big customers include Landmann Group of Germany (importing cookers) and IKEA Group of Sweden (importing stainless steel appliances) and Jaguar Company of Japan (importing chassis).
Understanding the decisive importance of product quality to its development and competitiveness, 17 Mechanical Company always pays attention to managing techniques, improving technologies, and bettering product quality to meet customer demands in Vietnam and in foreign markets. The company has built and applied the ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system and IWAY and 5S standards to improve the quality of products and services and help the company control production and products.

Currently, 17 Mechanical Company has invested to upgrade technologies for non-machined precision casting (aluminium alloy, zinc alloy, copper alloy, antimony in hot-chamber, cold-chamber compression die-casting machines); CNC-machined precision mechanical products (lathing, milling, 3D and 5D stereoscopic engraving, laser engraving, wire cutting, etc.); compression products made by 1,800-tonne compressors (deep drawing, shaping, stamping, punching, rubbing products).
The company also has surface processing technology using advanced coating, electroplating lines with Ni, Cr, Ag and Au coatings. It also has electrostatic paining and enamelling technology. Hence, the company is now capable of making automobile and motorcycle parts for domestic and international customers like Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio and Nissin, casted aluminium products for Jaguar and houses for communication devices for Viettel Group. Its complicated products are as good as high-quality imported items. The company also set up close business relations with foreign companies like Landmann, Jaguar and Ikea.
In the future, 17 Mechanical Company will focus on strengthening business ties with foreign companies from Japan, Germany, Sweden and other nations to boost sales of civil mechanical products, automobile and motorcycle parts, specialised machines and equipment.
