Asia Book of Records recognizes four new Vietnamese records

The Asia Book of Records has recognized four Vietnamese records including a biggest sticky rice flag, the oldest man climbing Mount Fansipan, stamp collection and a wooden Buddha statue.


The largest Buddhism flag is made from sticky rice by Binh Tay Food Company. It is measured 2mx5m and weighed 500 kilograms.


Vietnamese man Huynh Van Rang, 84, an inhabitant in the southern province of Binh Duong, has set a new Asian record as the oldest man conquering the 3,143-meter-high Mount Fansipan in northern Vietnam for four times.



Stamp collection featuring 12 zodiac signs has over 4,300 stamps of collector Han Tan Quang. The biggest wooden Buddha statue has the height of 2.56 m and the width of 1.54 m.


On the occasion, the Vietnam Book of Record also recognized some new records including a biggest series of books writing names of martyrs in the country with the size of 70cmx100cm and weight of 200 kg.
