Retailed gas prices have reduced VND3,333 a kilogram in Ho Chi Minh City since November 1, announced gas businesses.
The price of a 12 kilogram cylinder has gone down VND40,000 over October to swing from VND341,000-349,000.
The reduction is in accordance with the world gas prices after suppliers have lowered US$145 over October to US$605 per ton.
Earlier, gas prices suddenly edged up in HCMC due to an increase in transportation fee, premium and tariff.
Domestic gas prices depend on the world prices because local supply is able to meet only 60 percent of consumption demand.
