PANO – A delegation of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), led by its Deputy Director Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, on November 14th, handed over 700 sets of blankets and mosquito nets, totally worth VND 700 million, to policy households and poor people in four communes of Tam Kim, Hoa Tham, Hung Dao and Quang Thanh in Nguyen Binh district, Cao Bang province.
The presents are a sentiment of thousands of labour union’s members, defence workers in the army and the gratitude to ethnic minority groups in Cao Bang province where used to protect the VPA’s soldiers during the resistance war against foreign invaders.
On the occasion, the Military Women’s Board presented computers and school supplies to kindergartens and secondary schools of Tam Kim and Hoa Tham communes, as well as TV sets and bookshelves to the two communes’ cultural houses.
