HCM CITY (VNS) – Two leading actors and models from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Cha Seung-won and Lee Soo Hyuk, will participate in the first-ever Vietnam International Fashion Week.
They will showcase the latest collection of well-known South Korean designer Zio Song, who specialises in high-end menswear, at the fashion week to be held in December in HCM City.
Cha Seung-won began his career as an in-demand fashion model in the 1990s, before embarking on an acting career.
He achieved stardom through hit comedy films such as Kick the Moon (2001), Jail Breakers (2002) and My Teacher, Mr Kim (2003), as well as Ghost House (2004). His popularity continued to rise with the television series City Hall (2009) and The Greatest Love (2011).
Lee Soo-hyuk debuted as a model in 2006 and walked the catwalk for famous South Korean fashion brands.
Using the stage name Lee Soo-hyuk, he became famous with the television series White Christmas (KBS2, 2011) and Deep Rooted Tree (SBS, 2011).
The Vietnam International Fashion Week, which features other international fashion designers and leading Vietnamese designers, is expected to help promote the fast-growing changes and developments taking place in Viet Nam, and introduce exceptional Vietnamese designers to an international audience. – VNS
