(VOVworld) – Green growth should be achieved by people and for the people to harmonize socioeconomic development and environmental protection, and contribute to ensuring reasonable growth and sustainable poverty reduction. This was stated at a seminar entitled “Targeting sustainable green production” that opened in the southern province of Soc Trang on Friday within the framework of the 2014 Mekong Delta Economic Cooperation Forum. The seminar is a multiple dialogue forum discussing possibilities for accessing basic services and improving infrastructure for sustainable green production. Delegates agreed that green growth can be achieved by enhancing investment in the preservation, development, and effective use of natural resources, reducing greenhouse gases, improving the quality of the environment, and stimulating economic development even in the face of global climate change.
