(VOV) – At a reception for outgoing Greek Ambassador Rose Leremia in the Presidential Palace on November 13, President Sang emphasized Vietnam has always attached great importance to promoting trade and investment with Greece.
President Sang expressed hope that Greece will continue to actively support the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement, which should open up expansive trade and investment opportunities for both nations. The State leader suggested enhancing cooperation in all areas, intensify delegation exchange and closely cooperating at both regional and international forums for the development of each nation and the region.
The Greek outgoing diplomat in turn said the Vietnam-Greek relations have developed well over the years, particularly with the opening of the Vietnam Embassy in Athens and the establishment of a friendship parliamentarian group. She said Greece would attend the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132) hosted by Vietnam in 2015 and wished Vietnam continued success in the DoiMoi (Renewal) process.
