HA NOI (VNS) – Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son and his Russian counterpart Igor Morgulov co-chaired the 7th annual Viet Nam-Russia Strategic Dialogue on Diplomacy-Defence-Security in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday.
The two sides discussed measures to accelerate their bilateral relations, and compared notes on international and regional issues of common concern.
They said the regular high-level contact and dialogue had contributed to enhancing mutual trust and created a firm foundation for co-operation between the two countries.
The two ministers agreed to bolster comprehensive co-operation in economics as well as in defence, security and military technology.
They said the two sides would continue their close and effective co-ordination at international forums, especially the United Nations and other regional mechanisms.
On the same day, Morgulov paid a courtesy visit to Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan. – VNS
