(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Vo Duc Dam has praised achievements by the Vietnam Heart Institute over the past 25 years.

Addressing a ceremony in Hanoi on Tuesday to mark the Institute’s 25th anniversary, Dam said that together with the 100-year tradition of Bach Mai hospital, the Institute had made great contributions to caring for people’s health. He said: “The VietnamHeart Institute should launch more heart disease prevention programs in the community and boost the application of advanced technologies in treatment. It’s also necessary to strengthen training so that patients at even the grass-roots level can be diagnosed and treated by professional doctors.”
