The Jujitsu team wrapped up their competition on Thursday, with Dao Le Thu Trang and Nguyen Thi Huong blasting silvers in the women’s -50kg and +60kg combat categories respectively following their final losses to Philippine and Mongolian opponents.


Jujitsu artists also added six bronzes to Vietnam’s tally from the women’s +60kg, -50kg, and -60kg; the women’s duo and the duo mixed disciplines.


The remaining two bronze medals were won yesterday by woodball players, Nguyen Huyen Trang and Phan Thi Phuong, in the women’s Fairway events.


As of 2pm today, Vietnam was temporarily ranked 13th in the medal count and second in the overall number of medals.


Mongolia are leading the table with six gold and two bronze medals, followed by Thailand with four golds, five silvers and six bronzes, and third-placed United Arab Emirates with four golds, two silvers and four bronzes.


Defending overall champions China are trailing in ninth place with one gold, one silver and two bronzes.


The 4th ABG is taking place on Phuket’s famous beaches and at its Saphan Hin Sport Centre from November 14-23, featuring the participation of 43 countries and territories from across Asia. As many as 168 sets of medals in 26 events are up for grabs. Vietnam is being represented by 153 players in 18 sports.
