VGP – High-ranking officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Health will attend the 2nd International Conference on Nutrition (ICN) in Rome, Italia from November 19-21.

The ministerial conference, jointly sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization, aims to establish a flexible policy frame to deal with challenges and indentify priorities for enhancing international cooperation in nutrition.
The event will reflect challenges and chances for improving nutrition in changes facing economies and their agricultural systems.
The 2nd ICN will build on ongoing global political processes and initiatives to contribute to the post-2015 UN development agenda, including identifying priority areas, nutrition development goals as well as policies required for achieving the set goals.
The first conference was held in Rome in 1992.
