On November 3, the One World Trade Center opened for business after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The One World Trade Center, the current building was dubbed the Freedom Tower during initial basework is the name of two buildings in Lower Manhattan, New York city. It most commonly refers to the primary building of the new World Trade Center complex, which is also the tallest skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere.


The World Trade Center, a complex of seven buildings with the same name on the same site featured landmark twin towers, which opened on April 4, 1973.

The other buildings in the complex were severely damaged by the collapse of the twin towers, and their ruins were eventually demolished. The site is being rebuilt with six new skyscrapers, a memorial to those killed in the attacks, and a transportation hub.


One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the United States, is the lead building for the new complex and reachs more than 100 stories.


The Chief Executive, Charles Townsend, of the publishing giant Conde Nast said about 3,000 employees of the company will have moved into the 104-storey gleaming tower in Lower Manhattan by February 2015.


The One World Trade Center is designed to be the safest commercial structure in the world and the premier commercial business address in New York.


“One World Trade Center serves as a symbol of the resilience of the people of New York. Today, as we open its doors for the first time, we remember that strength and courage will always conquer weakness and cowardice,” New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said.
