PANO – The General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army on December 13th handed over houses to mothers Luu Thi Khanh and Nguyen Thi Ke, whose sons sacrificed in the war.

The handover ceremony was held in Hung Dao commune, Cao Bang city, Cao Bang province.
The houses were constructed at the cost of VND 240 million, including VND 70 million from the Ministry of National Defence and VND 100 million from the Logistic Department under the General Staff.
On the occasion, the General Staff also presented two saving books to the mothers.
* Recently, policy beneficiaries in Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province received three houses of gratitude and other necessities of life from the Military Institute of Traditional Medicine.
* Also on December 13th, the Le Huu Trac National Institute of Burns under the Vietnam Military Medical University offered free health checkups and medicines to nearly 600 policy beneficiaries in Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province. Earlier, the university laid wreath and offered incense to heroic fallen soldiers at the Vo Tranh communal Fallen Soldiers Monument.
It is among the program “Marching to the roots” on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the VPA and the 25th anniversary of the Whole People Defence Festival.
