– On December 24, Major General Nguyen Van Tuong, political commissar of the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard said that the CSB 9002 ship found and successfully hauled the fishing boat Ji Hang with 6 Chinese fishermen on board to the Nha Trang Bay in the central province of Khanh Hoa. Tuong said after receiving emergency information proposing for rescue from the broken Chinese fishing boat which was floating on the water under the exclusive economic zone of Vietnam, the Coast Guard Command ordered the CSB 9002 ship for the rescue.

– La The Phuc, director of the Hanoi- based Geological Museum has proposed the General Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam to allow the museum to continue to work with the Japan Caving Association to research on the volcanic caves of the first volcanic cave system in Vietnam, one part of which is considered the longest such feature in Southeast Asia. The discovery was made recently in Krong No District in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong by experts from the general department and the Japan Caving Association (JCA) after seven years of research.
