NDO – Industrial output in November rose 5.3% over October, the largest one-month rise since the start of 2014, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has announced.
The MOIT said industrial production throughout January-November went up by 7.5% compared with the 5.8% rise recorded over the same period of 2013.
Manufacturing rose 8.6% while electricity and waste treatment increased by 11.7% and 6.4% respectively.
According to the MOIT, sales of manufactured products in October rose 4% from the previous month and 15% over the same month in 2013, with communications devices posting the largest rise of more than 46%.
As of November 1, the inventory index of the manufacturing sector declined by a slight 0.3% compared with October.
However the inventory level of some products remained high such as sugar, up 92% and garments, up 28%.
