The low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific (JPA) officially launched a new international air route connecting Ho Chi Minh (HCM) city to Thailand’s Bangkok with the first flight on December 10th. As scheduled, the new flight path will carry one return flight everyday. Departure from HCM city is scheduled for 01:05 pm with the return taking off at 03:20 pm (local time). Departure on every Thursday from HCM city will be at 01:00 pm. At the launch ceremony at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, JPA General Director, Le Hong Ha, said that more than 24,000 passengers had already bought tickets for the HCM city – Bangkok route and the number is increasing. Currently, Jetstar Group is operating 28 return flights between Singapore and HCM city and 35 two-way flights from Singapore to Bangkok. JPA’s operation of HCM city – Bangkok route not only promotes the travel demand between Vietnam and Thailand but also creates a connecting air route among Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. The carrier is selling tickets for Hanoi – Bangkok route with flights departing from March 29th, 2015. Both air routes from Hanoi and HCM city to Bangkok were operated by Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 economy seats. JPA is running 11 domestic routes among ten big cities of Vietnam and international routes between HCM city and Singapore and from Macao to Thailand./. |
