PANO – Military-civilian hospital 16 of Army Corps 16, stationed in Binh Phuoc province, has become a reliable address for ethnic minority people.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Vo Thanh Muoi, the hospital’s director, the hospital has nearly 100 medical personnel and 120 beds. Its mission is to care for the health of troops stationed in three provinces of Binh Phuoc, Dac Nong and Dac Lac and local people.
Since the beginning of this year, it has given health checkups and treatment to more than 45,000 turns of people. Notably, it has welcomed some 1,500 babies.
To better care for patients, the hospital’s medics have taken part in courses on technology transfer to improve their expertise while the hospital has invested in new modern medical equipment.
For patients who are ethnic minority people, the hospital’s medics carefully instruct them to take medicines and have their health checked regularly. Attentively, the hospital has given financial assistance of VND 15,000 per day to each poor patient. It is doctors and nurses’ whole-hearted care and expertise that makes patients more confident in the hospital’s treatment. Patient Tran Thi Dung, aged 64 in Bom Bo commune, Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province said that her ovarian cyst is actively cured though she at first was very worried of her disease.
Apart from curing patients, the hospital is also involved in many other social activities for community development, including presenting medical equipment to local clinics and offering free medicines to poor people.
