By December 22, only close to 100 customers had registered to use the “Santa Claus” service implemented in 10 districts, the provincial town, and the city by the Hai Duong Provincial Post Office (PPO). The number of orders is expected to increase in the next two days.
Currently, many private enterprises, supermarkets, and retail stores have also offered this service; thus, the number of customers using the service by PPO this year is expected to be only about the same as last year. The service price is also similar to last year of VND30,000/gift (plus VND10,000 – VND20,000/gift shipping fee if the distance is 5km or further), and plus VND10,000/address for fixed-time delivery.
* According to the owners of some clothing shops in Hai Duong city, clothing sales this Christmas have increased sharply compared with normal days. In which, the sales of couple shirts for lovers have surged 40 – 60%. The market of couple shirts is abundant with T-shirts, sweaters, jackets, etc. priced from some hundred thousand to over one million dongs depending on materials and designs. The sales have increased because these are among Christmas gifts favored by loving couples.
