— Vietnam’s Minister of Health Nguyen Kim Tien and Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan attended a ceremony to kick off a program to produce vaccines for human diseases at a cost of VND100 billion (US$4.66 million) on Wednesday.
— Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, confirmed to Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Wednesday evening that a comprehensive technical review will be carried out of the UH-1 chopper which crashed in Pham Van Hai Commune of Ho Chi MinH City’s Binh Chanh District yesterday morning. — The Central Highlands city of Da Lat will provide more than 600,000 tonnes of vegetables during 15 days before and after Tet (Lunar New Year), according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Lam Dong Province.
— Vietnam’s GDP will increase by around 6 percent this year and the country’s inflation will be 3.4 percent, economists from Standard Chartered Bank’s Asia macroeconomic research team announced predicted on Wednesday during a conference in Ho Chi Minh City.
