PANO – The credit support package for businesses in 2015, worth VND128 trillion, was signed by 19 commercial banks and the State Bank of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City branch at a conference to review the bank-business connection program held in Ho Chi Minh City on January 26th.
In 2014, the program provided loans for 1,143 businesses, worth over VND40 trillion (twice as much as expected), making important contributions to helping businesses improve financial capacity, overcome adversity, and recover business operation.
In 2015, the State Bank of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City branch focuses on supporting businesses by implementing lending priorities, holding bank-business dialogues, and removing credit difficulties. In addition, commercial banks will expand the program to cooperatives, economic households, competent small business households, etc.
The program is one of the effective solutions to effectively implement the Government’s Resolution 02 on removing difficulties for production, business, market support and bad debt settlement. Nguyen Thi Hong, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee called on the branch and commercial banks to quickly, effectively and precisely disburse the package and conduct due monitoring.
On this occasion, businesses with outstanding contributions to the program in 2014 were praised and awarded certificates of merit.
