(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Hoang Long has said the recent establishment of a strategic partnership between Italy and Vietnam has opened opportunities for both countries to elevate trade ties and stimulate Italian investment into Vietnam.
Ambassador Long delivered the statement at a seminar Wednesday within the framework of Vietnam Cultural Day in Rome.
Last year, Italian business delegations from Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, two dynamic economic zones in Italy made fact-finding tours of Vietnam to seek opportunities.
Vietnam set up a trade representative office in Milan to seek economic partners in Italy.
A representative from the Lazio region, Guido Fabiani, spoke highly of Vietnam’s investment potential and said the region will launch a promotion programme to encourage its businesses to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam, especially in manufacturing of industrial equipment, garments and leather.
