In 2015, Long An province will strive to save more than 120 billion VND of electricity bill. Accordingly, the province will strengthen mobilization of communities, businesses, residents to participate actively in the power saving programs.

Specifically, for 45 enterprises using electricity of the province, Department of Trade and Industry of Long An province accessed and mobilized firms to implement regulations in accordance with the effective use of energy; construction of the annual power saving plans.
Thence, based on the energy audit the department will have investment solutions to renew the equipments towards saving energy, improve energy efficiency.
For the use of electricity for public lighting, traffic road axis in the cities, industrial zones, the department continues campaigning to replace LED lights with energy labels.
Long An Department of Trade and Industry coordinated with media agencies to strengthen propaganda, paid special attention to pupils and students to launch the innovative contest of power-saving solutions in order to help this force have power-saving consciousness developed in-depth, long-term, sustainable future.
Particularly in agriculture production, the Department mobilized people to change bulbs instead of compact fluorescent light bulbs, save power, balance the demand for enough electricity, save money for dragon cultivation growers in Chau Thanh district, did not affect the local power shortage in the province.
According to Mr.Duong Van Hoanh, Deputy Director of Long An Department of Trade and Industry in 2014, the locality saved 76.887 million kWh, equivalent to saving nearly 116 billion VND, exceeding 2.64% compared with 2013.
The department also recommended that the State agency sole new power saving equipments with energy labels; mobilize companies, public buildings to replace the bulbs with LED bulbs, compact bulbs, and high pressure bulbs.
In addition, the Department also launched the contest for power saving solutions in officers and enterprises; workshop on power savings for workers in factories and enterprises; supporting dragon cultivation farmers to replace incandescent bulbs with compact bulbs.
