A military tow truck collided with a passenger bus in Thanh Hoa Province on Wednesday, killing one and injured eight others on the bus.
Local officials said the accident happened at a curve on the Ho Chi Minh highway in the afternoon when the military equipment pulled by the truck crashed into the bus driving in the opposite direction.
Truong Van Bien, 73, was killed at the scene.
Four of the injured victims are critical. All have been rushed to a local hospital.
The hospital said they will treat them for free.
Police are investigating the case.
