On January 12th, ChildFund Vietnam granted nearly 2,300 warm clothes worth over VND200 million to children in Kim Truy and Hop Dong communes, Kim Boi district, in the northern province of Hoa Binh, as lunar New Year presents.

The annual activity has been organised over the past 10 years. Accordingly, based on the demand of a majority of children in communities, ChildFund Vietnam chooses and gives the most suitable presents for the children, especially daily essentials such as books, warm clothes and shoes.

Earlier, the presents were mainly given to children in poor and disadvantaged families. However, since 2014, the giving of presents now includes every child in the community.

In the near future, sets of educational equipment will be granted to 2,300 children in Que Ha commune, Kim Boi district.

Apart from Hoa Binh province, winter presents will come to children in the disadvantaged districts of Quang Uyen and Tra Linh (Cao Bang province), Na Ri (Bac Kan province), and Cao Phong and Ky Son (Hoa Binh province).

ChildFund Vietnam assistance comes from individuals and sponsors, serving activities that bring sustainable benefit for children, their families and the whole community./.
