Due to tough sea and strong waves and quite far distance among three islets A, B and C of the island, it took the mission two days to carry the gifts to troops there.

Lieutenant Vu Van Hoang, a non-commission officer on Da Dong C, held that these gifts bore the sentiments of people from the mainland, encouraged them to defend the national sovereignty, and helped them enjoy a warm Tet festival.

The HQ-571 continues to carry more Tet presents to troops on other islands of Vietnam.
