PANO – The Naval Region 5 Command of the Vietnam People’s Navy held a delegation to present gifts to troops and people on Northwestern islands on January 21st.
The delegation included 95 representatives from nine provinces and cities in the Southern region, and reporters.
Naval Captain Dau Khai Hoan, Deputy Commissar of the Command cum Head of the delegation, held that these gifts, mostly including food and necessities, help them enjoy a warm Tet (Lunar New Year) festival in 2015, and encourage them firmly protect national sovereignty over sea and islands.
Gifts will be given to those who are on the islands of Phu Quoc, Tho Chu, Nam Du and Hon Doc of Kien Giang province, and Hon Khoai and Hon Chuoi of Ca Mau province.
