In 2014, the VUFO effectively organized many activities to promote peace, solidarity, friendship and cooperation among countries. It has obtained effective results, making contributions to boosting cooperation with foreign countries, such as Laos, Cambodia, China, and Cuba. Last year, 42 international non-governmental organizations started operations in Vietnam.

This year, the union will continue developing relations with international friends and partners, and participating in activities for peace, development, justice, sustainability and advancement.

It will focus on activities in celebration of the 70th anniversary of August Revolution, the 40th National Reunification Day, and the 20th anniversary of normalization of Vietnam-US relations.
