(Photo: tienphong.vn) Vietnamese literacy world is eager to welcome three major events to take place at the beginning of the lunar new year, including the 3rd conference on popularizing Vietnamese literature, the second Asia – Pacific Poetry Festival and the 13th Vietnamese Poetry Day. So far, basic preparations for the events have complete. Vietnam is willing to welcome thousands of domestic lovers for poems and 150 international poets from 40 countries and territories. According to poet Huu Thinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, the13th Vietnamese Poetry Day will include two playing grounds, one for Vietnamese poems and other for international ones. Especially, 15 outstanding Vietnamese poets will be selected to introduce poems in the French language and a French artist will perform illustration paintings. As many of 100 Vietnamese poets will have an exchange with international writers and poets. Ten publishers were invited to introduce works about the struggle for indepdence to international friends./. |
