PANO – General Phung Quang Thanh, Minister of National Defence, paid a working visit to the Air Defece-Air Force Service on February 12th.
At the working session, Lieutenant General Phuong Minh Hoa, the Service’s Commander, briefed the minister on its task performance last year, missions for this year and preparations for the 2015 Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.

Last year, the Air Defece-Air Force Service continued providing good advice and recommendations to the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defence in strengthening air defence-air force units as well as ground force’s air defence and people’s air defence forces, maintaining the alert and combat readiness, successfully holding all-level exercises and maneuvers, and acquiring and effectively exploiting new modern vehicles.

Lieutenant General Phuong Minh Hoa also gave General Phung Quang Thanh some recommendations on improving quality of human resources and ensuring weapons and military equipment for military and defense tasks.
Defence Minister urged the Air Defece-Air Force Service to continuously bring into play its achievements, promote troops’ professionalism, heighten training and combat readiness quality, and master equipment, contributing to fulfilling tasks of firmly protecting the national airspace.
In addition, he presented gifts and wished a happy Tet holiday to the unit’s cadres and soldiers.
