Receiving a delegation of OVs yesterday, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan also applauded the solidarity between the Vietnamese community abroad with their compatriots at home in difficult situations and in external relations and socio-economic development.

The same day, Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan welcomed the OVs who returned home to enjoy Tet holidays and participated in the annual program “Homeland Spring” held by the Foreign Ministry’s State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.

She reiterated that the State sees overseas Vietnamese an integral part of the nation and has issued many policies to encourage them to do more for the homeland.

For their parts, the OVs hoped that the State would make it easier for people abroad to contribute to the country’s construction and development.
