They sent a mission to Ben Tre province to invite artisan Pham Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Ornamental Creatures Association of the province’s Chau Thanh district, who has made many fine art works from fruits, to join hands in the project.

Since early January 2015, it took the command’s cadres and soldiers days to weld steel frames and nets, and then make an S-shaped frame for the map.

After that, they gathered more than two tons of Vietnam’s typical fruits, which were glued on the frame.

This special work expressed local armed forces’ gratitude to ancestors and those who had shed their blood for the national salvation, and highlighted the fertile land of the Mekong Delta region producing specific kinds of fruits and flowers that have attracted many international and domestic tourists.
