PANO – The Ho Chi Minh City Students Assistance Centre saw off 2,600 students on buses to return home for the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival on February 10th.
The students, including relatives of policy beneficiaries, ethnic minority people and those who are living far from their hometowns and homevillages, and could not celebrate the Tet holiday with their families for years, received free bus tickets under the centre’s program “Spring Buses”.
This year, the organizing panel put 44-50 buses in service for the program.
The centre’s Director Quach Hai Dat said that over the past 13 years, nearly 35,000 needy students got free tickets to enjoy the Tet holiday with their families.
