TRAFFIC, the wildlife trade monitoring network informed that Vietnam’s leading doctors of traditional medicine signed a commitment not to engage in the trade of wild animals and plants as well as use of endangered medicinal plants from the wild.
Ms. Madelon Willemsen, TRAFFIC’s Representative in Vietnam, said that traditional medicine doctors and practices should be equipped with accurate and update legal information about the use of the products from wild animals and plants. Therefore, they will have the right decisions during practice, that also contributes to the protection of wildlife and environment.
