The 22nd National Shooting Tournament was kicked-off at the National Sports and Physical Training Centre in Hanoi on March 8th.

During the tournament, 164 shooters representing 12 teams, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Quang Nam, Dac Lac, the Army, the Ministry of Public Security, and Dong Nai, will compete in 14 categories for men and 10 categories for women.
On the competition’s first day, participants took part in three categories, namely the men’s 50m slow fire pistol, the women’s 25m sport pistol, and the women’s 10m air rifle.
The week-long event aims to evaluate the training quality for coaches and athletes over the past time as well as to choose the best athletes for the upcoming sports games in the region and the world, especially the 28th SEA Games in Singapore this June.
