The power company of the northern province of Bac Kan is carrying out a project to bring the national grid to remote areas inhabited by ethnic minorities. With access to the power from the national grid the remote inhabitants highly appreciate the care given by the Party and State.

At present, the Party and State is investing in the power supply project for 143 villages across the province. With a total capital of nearly VND309 billion, when completed in 2016, the project will serve 6,000 families and help to raise the number of families having access to the national grid to 97%.
Director of the Bac Kan provincial power company Duong Quang Son, said that the quality of all power constructions would be ensured for the long-term benefit of ethnic minority people.
The ongoing project will contribute to improve people’s standard of living, create an impetus for socio-economic development, poverty reduction and increase security and social order./.
