(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received Cambodia’s National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin in Hanoi on Saturday, who is in Vietnam to attend IPU 132.
Mr. Trong called Vietnam’s hosting of IPU 132 a major political event of great importance to Vietnam. He praised parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and said that Vietnam prioritizes developing the neighborliness, friendship, and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia. He conveyed his greetings to King Norodom Sihamoni and other senior Cambodian officials. Speaker of Cambodia’s National Assembly appreciated Vietnam’s hosting of IPU 132 and said he believed the event will be a success, contributing to realizing IPU goals. He thanked the Party and people of Vietnam for their support for Cambodia’s national liberation and development.
