Vietnamese Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan and German Ambassador to Vietnam Jutta Frasch will join Dr. Lammert in visiting the university in Binh Duong on March 31, the school said in a press release on March 26.

During his visit, Dr. Lammert will talk with 100 students from the university on topics concerning bilateral relations as well as relations between the European Union and South East Asia.

The President of the Bundestag will also answer students’ questions during the talk.

“We’re so glad to welcome the President of the Bundestag,” president of Vietnamese-German University Jürgen Mallon said in the press release. “His trip proves that the school has played an important role in the strategic cooperation between Vietnam and Germany.”

Founded in 2008, VGU was at first an initiative by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the German State of Hessen but it has broadened to full cooperation with Germany over the past years.

Focusing on high-tech engineering and sustainable development, the higher education institution follows the German model and standards concerning its academic and administrative structure.
