(VOVworld) – World leaders attended the state funeral on Sunday for Singapore’s founder Lee Kuan Yew.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung represented the Vietnamese Party, State, and Government to pay tribute to Mr. Lee. The funeral service held at the University Cultural Centre (UCC), National University of Singapore, involvedMalaysian King Abdul Halim, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Myanmar President Thein Sein, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, South Korean President Park Geun-Hye, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former US President Bill Clinton led the American delegation to the funeral that also included former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Lee Kuan Yew was Singapore’s first Prime Minister and one of the greatest statesmen in Asia.
